Quoin 2020-2021

Home as the body, whose nakedness is only seen by its owner; in every house there are specific places where people get together. Yet, nothing remains but traces of their presence: a color, a scent, missing signs, or their absence. Whatever is prepared for the guests is like clothes put on the house. And it is only the owner who takes the clothes off the body of the house, when they leave, and watches its nakedness. The smells emanating from the body of the house; things, with their makeup wearing off, a little tired but calm, with a smile of satisfaction and eyes still looking at the sweet memories of a very recent past. Here, crowdedness and emptiness, solitude and company, and presence and absence merge and the boundary between reality and dream fades away.
